Consider using a designer for assistance with interior and exterior finishes & selections. Although there will be a cost at the beginning, you will end much happier with the result and feel less stressed throughout the process!

Include charging station/s in the pantry for personal computers, iPads and/or phones.

Built-in paper towel holder within cabinetry.

Include both gas and electrical lines for any kind of appliance.

Pantry light motion sensitive.

Include pull-out garbage/recycling/laundry drawer/s.

Tall cabinet in pantry, to store cleaning items, such as brooms and mops.

Pantry countertop to store miscellaneous items, i.e. coffee maker, toaster, etc.

Built-in organizational drawers (i.e. cabinet next to stove which contains utensil holder/s)

Island includes microwave outlet and storage cubby.

Hidden refrigerator and pantry door/s.

Under-cabinet lighting.

Outdoor

Run conduit under the driveway for future wiring or plumbing needs.

Pre-wire speakers for both indoor and outdoor use.

Pre-wire for a generator.

Outlets in landscaping for Christmas lights.

Consider adding lighted pathways along walkways.

Electrical rough-in in eaves and under porch ceiling

Snow-melt driveway can be a wonderful addition, although not a must (depending on budget)! 🙂

Garage

In-floor heat to keep the garage mild in the winter.

Include both hot and cold water, great for washing cars or pets in the winter.

Drain to remove excess water.

Include outlets for tools, compressors, etc.  

Keypad entry on garage door.
